The venue comprises Figure skating arena with a 12000 seating capacity, and Curling arena with a 475 seating capacity.

The Almaty Arena is the biggest venue of the Winter Universiade 2017.

The venue also includes halls for boxing, wrestling, table tennis, choreography, acrobatics, as well as two gyms, and a health and recreation center.

As the legacy of the Universiade, the complex will be among top sports venues and will attract approximately 600 attendees annually.

The new arenas will become permanent venues for professional athletes as training venues. At the same time, the Ice arena will be available to the general public (public skating, amateur competitions, organization of sports clubs and others).

Winter Universiade 2017:

Figure Skating Arena will hold the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as Figure Skating.

Curling Arena will hold Curling.
