Freestyle skiing

Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, moguls, ski cross, half-pipe and slope style as a part of the winter Olympics. The first freestyle skiing competitions were held in 1966 in USA. The first World Cup took place in 1978, eight years later Tignes, France held the first FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships.

Competition Format:

  • Men: Ski Cross (SX), Moguls (MO), Dual Moguls (DM), Ski Aerials (AE), Mixed Team Aerials
  • Women: Ski Cross (SX), Moguls (MO), Dual Moguls (DM), Ski Aerials (AE), Mixed Team Aerials
