Chingiz Rakparov, the leader of the Kazakhstani team in Nordic combined: “I have a task to represent my country at the Universiade.”

Before the start of the competition at the 2017 Universiade, Chingiz Rakparov (biathlon) told about his preparations and plans for the Universiade.

“The training was not easy. For two years, we did not compete at major international events, but before the Universiade we had an opportunity to gain experience abroad,” he said.

- We know that you have been recovering from a serious injury. How are you feeling?

- In fact, the injury was severe. I fell unconscious at the competition, and had a concussion. The most difficult thing was to recover psychologically and get back to jumping. Thanks to my coaches, they have done everything to ensure that I'm back in a good shape.

- What are the objectives you have set for yourself at the Universiade?

- The last Universiade champions Adam Tseslar (Poland) and David Welde (Germany). They have the biggest chances to win this year. Russia and Japan are also strong. I have a challenge to represent Kazakhstan at the Universiade and show good results.
